Through ages
A web of life, mutually spun
A complex of diamonds reflecting diamonds
All things as one
His-stories pages unfolded themselves,
The marriage of spirit and hand - and their bastard son
Damage is done
All innocence gone
Anthropocene,
Almighty abomination
Despotic, destructive
Weakened - alone
A monument of evolutions splendor
Rendered - unfit for life
In a screaming gap between
Matter and mind
Mankind - a prisoner
Fettered in stone
As nature´s cast outs
Cursed to know
A suffering beyond mere hunger and strife
Through ages
Chthonic truths
Shrouded in clarity, progress, prosperity
Consciousness bloomed
Courageous you built Babel´s tower
At the glorious zenith of power - the final hour
Now fall towards
Impending doom
Impending doom – the lack of nourishment, the minerals needed, to grow
These antlers – dragging us down
We bore them with pride – Heads to the ground
The awesome weight of the mind – the crown
Of creation die – crushing heads through the ground
Extinction
A liar’s creed
Social contracts, moral codes,
Laws and prohibitions, altered core conditions
All broken off horns
Keeping us in fever and pain,
As crippled creatures, disfigured features
In fear and thus feared
And put to scorn
Adapted to betrayal,
Holding on to
A faltering hope of
Self mutilation
Shunning our inherent grandness,
Pathetically lurking in ruins,
Like rats
Like gods
Fit to know the secrets of universe
Yet helplessly
Stuck in flesh
In desperation, in separation
In escape of purpose and
The tragic paradox
Perishment
The sacred will of blood
A fiery hell underneath
Our dangling minds
The mind conceiving the dread of being
Stare in our eyes
Constantly in cosmic panic
The questions arise:
To reproduce the sickness
Or for the love of life
Dehumanize
Dehumanize – the inevitable inability to uphold, this weight, the height, the size… of
These antlers – dragging us down
We bore them with pride – Heads to the ground
The awesome weight of the mind – the crown
of creation die – crushing heads through the ground
These dead, barren and dry
Megaloceros Humanitas grazing grounds
Extinction
Suppress, divert, and yearn for that you´ll never be
Sense that of which we will never speak
Depressed you seek values
Seek shelter, and cling to believe
In myths to glorify the weak
Dream of the light that you will never see
And blessed by a last messiah nailed to the last tree
For civilized barbarity knows no turning of cheeks
Humanity remain a pitiful unworthy obscurity
The fucking mess of
Humanity
Know yourselves
We pray thee

After listening to Ysyry Mollvün, listening to Downfall of Nur was urgent and turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made in quite some time: Umbras de Barbagia is simply magisterial; the atmosphere can hardly be compared to anything else. There is a deep, palpable connection to nature imbueing each very fibre of this record. The amalgamation of black metal and folk elements is done with a high intuition for detail and class, resulting in a highly immersive experience. Wonderful. David Fischer
Brutal, battering industrial music from this Austin, TX, group rolls in like a thundercloud—pitch-black and threatening. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 8, 2016

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
